I really need to talk with her. I keep stepping on the vein that keeps my lifeline flowing through. I wanna be your perfect stick of glue but I don’t feel perfect at all, a sad and insecure flaw. I find it hard to hold conversation, I get sweaty sick and I wanna walk away. Its not you its strictly me in this situation.

I’m wondering will it ever go away? Sometimes I feel like weeping, awake and when I’m sleeping. Perfected how to put a game face on. This puzzle I’ve been keeping has been in hiding creeping out the closet door, spilling out onto the floor. No longer will I be picking up my heart. I’ll be as honest as I feel, I’m getting more paranoid and I’m hearing things and they never turn out real. It feels like my heart is made of pure steel. It’s just so heavy all the time, my mind helping any of this along. I’m scared of death and I’m scared of living. I gave up on the past cause it’s unforgiving, I misplaced my trust. I watched my word begin to rust. Still I regret none of any of this in another space and time.

Maybe my life time friend got it right, I have become boring and I should just fade away. Fade into the backgrounds of everyone elses eventful lives. Become something we just don't talk about.

It was so much fun walking home in the rain, now get off my back or just tell me what you want from me. Love me for what I have become and if you find me boring then come walk with me in the rain.

Sand and Stone

Not as far as it looks. ^_^

I have been going to the beach for the last we days (First day was 21st Dec) just to try and boulder the beautiful but illusive sand stone along the beach. Rock hard at the bottom but the higher you go the more the holds start to...... become tricky.

Each day I ended up walking a bit further and along the beach. Every day finding a new spot to just sit and chill or a boulder that provided some sort of climbable surface. I started to take the GPS along as I ventured out along the beach. ^_^ According to the GPS my last boulder was about 26km from where I started walking. Anyway I'm getting ahead of myself as that was only on day 3.

Day one I walked about 500m and there was what seemed to be an awesome overhang about 3.5 - 4 meters off the ground and it seemed manageable. At this point walking along the rocks I have been feeling and tugging on the stone about 2m off the ground,
hard and solid holds. A bit sharp at times but every hold had a sharp bit and a blunt bit. Aka. NICE!!

So I kit up and start to climb this beautiful overhanging wonder. Starts out easy. very crimpy but there are holds and feet all over the place. About a 1m above the dark line in on the rock right about where the overhang starts to really become a challenge the stone turns to sand and the holds turn to something else. The holds are still there and they still feel the same but try to put some weight on them and its like they just vanish and you end up with sand in your hand where a rock solid hold use to be.

It took me about 45 minutes to give up. This is after I broke off about every hold there was at the top. Also the hole in the ground where I was falling every time was starting to look like an open-pit copper mine.

Along the beach I found another overhand, about 4m high and even though the lighter soft center was all over the place it seemed to have a thicker harder "crust".

I was not going to let that fool me again, not till I have done some climbing on the rock. I ended up doing almost more of a traverse from the left along the edge all the way to the tip of the overhang and then topping out. Even though it took me about an hour to figure out it was not the most difficult thing I have done.

I was back the next day and this time I kept on walking. Walking till the rock changed into something that looked like a completely different world.

Not for climbing but pretty to look at. ^_^

I kept going till I found a slab that was put there by nature, man had his way with it and nature claimed it again.

After three days if I have not figured out this sand stone I was never going to. Breaking off one awesome hold, I had to re-think climbing this stone. After a while it dawned on me the only way I was going to climb this boulder was by displacing the pressure on the holds so evenly that at no point I was going to have my full weight on any of the holds. Slowly but surely I worked my way up the rock. Only breaking off one more hold, I managed to top out.

It all comes down to only using the darker stone. Never pull or stand on a hold without pulling or standing on 3 others or you will end up breaking a hold. It was such a game of balance that by the time I topped out I was so tapped I didn't know what was going on. ^_^

The hole in the wall, this time was not my fault, but this time in a way it does effect me. I have never had to destroy such a big part of my life. That wall and the graffiti on it was a big turning point in my life. After breaking all the bigger pieces into pebbles and dust, I noticed the blood on my hands. I didn't feel it.
I noticed what I was doing. Without even knowing it I was keeping myself busy with an useless exercise, just to keep my mind from thinking and my heart, soul or what ever from feeling.

In the five minutes it took me to wash my hands and tape them up, I found myself thinking of Christy again. Just like that wall she was now just another memory that is not mine anymore. I picked up the hammer and finished what I started.
Later as the sun was starting to hide on the other side of the hills, I put up the slackline and ended up just sitting on it watching the sun go down.

Funny how ones mind can have an almost physical effect on ones body. I just did not have it in me that day. I was so confused and disappointed that even half way up an easy 21 I could not get her out of my mind and manage to focus on the climb. I failed that day. Never again! Never again will I let emotion effect my physical potential.

I can miss her and I will miss her but that is as far as it will go.

I am still not sure if its just me not having a fear of heights or the fact that following a great climber etched confidence into me, but hundred meters and then some, holding onto the smallest crimper I could find and my feet slipping off every "hold" up there, I was fine. Calm and happy. A bit angry at my shoes for failing me, but happy. Like Caio said, "I love it!" It was good up there. ^_^

It is going to be hard enough to say good-bye, so rather I will say see you later.
I have been doggy paddling with these emotions next to me but I better start working on my form as this riptide starts to form. I ignore cause and effect as I close my eyes, I can sense the shore coming closer. No lies was told, I just danced around being too direct. I still want the girl that really caught my eye, friendship, hope, strength and heart but, she will soon live in Illinois, a million miles away from me.
So all I can do is my best, to make her see how much she means to me. Be there for her and pay back the gift she gave me.
Leave this grip I have on my neck behind and start living, remain happy. Finally happy, I deal with the fact that I've forgotten the worst. Moving forward and I am ok. I feel that my social behaviour may seem somewhat unrehearsed. Another page, add more detail to a painting and cherish every memory made. The balancing beam hits me in the face as I turn to run, remember I am save here, I need to remind myself. I want to apologize if there is anything to apologize for I have not done this in a while. Thanks again, you make being happy easy. ^_^

So in the past month I have managed to rack up about 720 pages of stories, feelings and well it’s a small book of memories that started out something like. I wonder, if the human body can stand all the stress and punishment of being put on the moon why can I not push myself to finish a stupid 7b+. Why do I always get stuck in a job as a favour to someone else to helping them out, then I get messed around, screwed over and get stuck in a job I hate. If the Christian God is a loving God why is there so much suffering in the world? I really need to get back on my mountain bike.

My mind was all over the place.

The last few pages were more along the lines of a heart song gone wrong.

It is the start of something new, the start of perfection gone wrong. At night the pain in my hands keep me awake but I cannot wait for the next day to see her again. Renew this feeling of life she gives me. Only to stand here looking over the edge of my own honesty. To renew the feeling that will keep me up again all night. Now my mind will not still as the memories take over and play like old silent movies on the back of my eye lids. Soon this will be all I will be left with again. More memories as she returns home, does she even know how much she means to me. Does she even know how much she lights up the world for me?

And now it is today.
I’m hopeless. :P

After the epic mess that was Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was launched I told myself I'd never buy another Battlefield game. I might need to eat those words. In a very clever short story method, one video at a time I am starting to get very excited about Battlefield 3. It started out with some random clips with this really badly almost annoying distorted semi Terminator score to it. Then after the launch of the second clip I am now almost ready to use it as my ringtone. :P Below in order is what we have so far. Enjoy!!

2010-04-21: Statement issued by the SARB Governor, Ms G Marcus on counterfeit notes in circulation

The South African Reserve Bank (the “Bank”) has noted with concern that relatively high quality counterfeit notes of the old series, that does not have the security features as listed below, have illegally come into circulation. This matter is currently under investigation.

We also advise that the Bank, together with the commercial banks, is withdrawing all old series R200 banknotes that remain in circulation. Members of the public are requested to present these banknotes for exchange at the nearest commercial bank by the end of May 2010. After this date it will only be possible to present these banknotes to the South African Reserve Bank Branches for exchange.

The R200 banknotes of the upgraded series bearing the signatures of former
Governor, Mr T T Mboweni and current Governor, Ms G Marcus have the security features outlined below and are not affected by the current counterfeit problem. These banknotes will remain in circulation.

South Africa has a family of five banknotes, with the R200 banknote being the highest denomination. The South African public is encouraged to re-familiarise themselves with the security features on the South African banknotes and to examine them on receipt. Do not hesitate or feel embarrassed about holding a banknote up to the light. Look, feel and tilt the banknotes to ascertain the security features.

Some key features to consider:

Banknote Substrate
The special quality of banknote paper and the raised intaglio print give it a distinct feel. Unlike normal paper, banknotes have a distinct crackling sound when handled.

Coat of Arms
The South African Coat of Arms is used prominently in the front top left corner, in the iridescent band on the back, and as a holographic image in the security thread of the R50, R100 and R200 banknotes.

Watermark
The watermark is smaller and the denomination numeral is added to the watermark of the main motif. When the banknote is held up to the light the watermark and the denomination numeral are visible.

Perfect registration
The upgraded banknotes reveal the denomination numeral in perfect registration on the front and back when a note is held up to the light. It does not appear blurred or obscured.

Windowed security thread
On the R50, R100 and R200 banknotes the thread is 4mm wide. SARB, RAND and the denomination numeral appear when held up to light and a holographic Coat of Arms appears in the thread when tilted. On the R10 and R20 banknotes the thread is 2mm wide and SARB and the denomination numeral appear in clear text.

Optically variable ink
On the R50, R100 and R200 banknotes the denomination numeral on the front bottom right is printed in colour changing ink. When the R50 and R100 banknotes are tilted, the colour changes from green to gold. On the R200 it changes from magenta to green

Latent image
When the banknote is held almost horizontally to eye level, the denomination numeral appears inside the geometric shapes.

Diamond shapes
The diamond shapes with a raised intaglio feel on the front of the banknote that assist the blind to distinguish between the denominations are as follows:
· 1 diamond for the R10,
· 2 diamonds for the R20,
· 3 diamonds for the R50,
· 4 diamonds for the R100, and
· 5 diamonds for the R200.

Different geometric shapes
These are on the front of the banknotes as an aid for the partially sighted and are as follows:
· diamond on the R10,
· square on the R20,
· circle on the R50,and
· different hexagons on the R100 and R200 respectively.

Denomination numerals
These are prominent on the front and the back of the banknotes.

Microlettering
‘South African Reserve Bank’ appears in microlettering to the right of the animal’s ear. The microlettering is printed in positive and negative text.

Unique numbering
The unique number is on the back – a vertical number on the left hand side and a horizontal number top right. The horizontal number is conical.

Iridescent band
This is a very prominent feature, in gold colour on the back of all banknotes. When tilted, the Coat of Arms and the denomination numeral appear.

During Google’s I/O conference, the company announced the Chrome Web Store. The Web Store is actually quite similar to many of the existing app stores for various mobile platforms. However, the one big distinction is that all of the apps can be run on your personal computer within the browser.

As reported, Google’s Chrome Web Store will be relying heavily on HTML5 to drive many of the apps that will be available for the store. The company demonstrated that with HTML5 even full blown 3D video games can be run via the browser. Google demonstrated Quake 2 running on HTML5. The game was shown running via the Chrome Web browser as it utilized the computer’s graphics video card.

Sundar Pichai VP of Product Management for Google stated that one of the most difficult things to do on the Web today is to find a good application. As an example, he stated that it is difficult to find a good chess game on the Web. The reason is because a search will return many hits with no clear indication as to which one is the best.

However, Pichai stated that this search is much easier to do on a mobile platform due to the application store front. According to Pichai this ease of usability is what Google wants to bring to the home computer.

This approach may also solve the problem many developers face when trying to market Web apps. Since consumers are so used to purchasing software off-the-shelf, many are still cautious of buying software off the Internet. There is a certain level of hassle involved with installing software onto the hard drive while worrying about requirements.

With off-the-shelf software there is always the guarantee that the consumer can go back to the store to get someone there to help them. However, this is not always the case for software purchased online.

Google is aiming to solve this issue by aggressively pushing cloud based applications, where the software lives on the could servers and can work instantly without hassle. Consumers can purchase and use an application without having to “install” anything onto the hard drive.

As demonstrated by Pichai during the I/O conference, consumers will be able to purchase an app and start using it immediately without a lengthy install or configuration. Dark hallways will never be the same after the chilling Alma first stalked players in the original F.E.A.R. A first-person shooter franchise that combined survival-horror aesthetics with traditional gunplay, F.E.A.R. garnered a fair number of fans and those fans have plenty of reason to be excited. Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced F.E.A.R. 3 for the PS3, 360 and PC. The game will feature Alma's sons, Point Man and Paxton Fettel, as playable characters, as well as introduce co-op play to the franchise.

According to the press release, Monolith Studios will not be handling development. Instead, Day 1 Studios has taken on the project and is consulting with famed director John Carpenter and writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night). Carpenter offered advice on the game's cutscenes and Niles co-wrote the script with the Day 1 Studios development team.

"Players can look forward to new features such as divergent co-op, an evolved cover system, and more scares in F.E.A.R. 3," said Denny Thorley, founder and president of Day 1 Studios.

F.E.A.R. 3 is scheduled to launch this fall. IGN does not recommend playing F.E.A.R. 3 in the dark.

I have to add that I have been having a go at the Beta and so far it promises to keep the name of F.E.A.R on the LEGENDARY GAME list.

Evangelion Race Car?

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: The official website of the Evangelion anime franchise has posted images from the first day of racing for Run'a Entertainment's "Evangelion RT-01 apr Corolla" team in the Super GT300-class grand touring championship series on Saturday.

Not only was the team's Toyota Corolla Axio painted in homage to the anime's Evangelion EVA-01 unit, but the uniforms of drivers Koki Saga and Kosuke Matsuura were patterned after the plug suit of the anime's main character Shinji Ikari. (Similarly, the "race queen" models Noa Mizutani and Yuuna Chiba wore outfits loosely inspired by the characters Rei and Asuka.)

Run'a Entertainment had previously fielded a Lightning McQueen apr MR-S car (inspired by Pixar's Cars film) and a Toy Story Racing apr MR-S car. For the Toy Story team, the drivers wore Buzz Lightyear uniforms, and the race queens wore outfits loosely inspired by the Toy Story characters Woody, Buzz, and Jessie.

The Evangelion RT-01 apr Corolla team is currently #14 after the first qualifying run of the Fuji Speedway round, trailing the Mach Go Go Go Shaken 408R team (#11) and the Hatsune Miku X GSR Porsche team (#12).

Iron man 2

So last night I went to see Iron man 2, all I can say is Tony Stark-yes please. Having seen the 1^st one I can see the technology and gizmo’s I must have, has gone way up. I was a little surprised to see Mickey Rourke as Whiplash- I never knew he was such an intense actor. The cg for his suit alone is worth watching. For the guys, the black widow has some stealth moves of her own. Lots of action lots of cg, if you enjoy Gundam or mech-even better. If you’d like to know more, go watch it until past the end… because there is a surprise after the credits for all Marvel fans.. I say no more.

Free Comic Book Day

I'm not really sure why Armi invited me to collab on his blog, considering my idea of a well spent afternoon consists of holing up on the couch with a bag of marshmallow fish, reading The World According to Clarkson.Nevertheless here I am, based upon what I can only assume to be his reason,the fact that I am a girl, own a psp and randomly collect anime figurines & vinyls.

Todays' mission however has nothing to do with this geekery, but rather to do with the fact that I'm on the hunt for some Candy coated fruti flavoured fun.Turns out Rascalls aren't made here anymore, and I shall be forced to trudge through the sandy beach eating Skittles of which I have yet to find, but am assured are still in the shops.

Happily next week I will be purchasing loads of figurines and arb titles fom what is every collectors favd day of the year in countries such as mine where gatherings and cosplays are rare-that of Free Comic Book Day. I awake at sparrows fart on a Saturday, unheard of normally & mainline some caffeine all to ensure I am there to get the best what they have laid out as their rarest & coolest of comics & posters. Great my Monday has now gone completely to hell!! Thx you who ever came up with this stupid idea!!

I know as far as the history of games to movies go there has not been a lot of promise but really at least a few got the characters right. If you still have no idea what I am going on about here's the report:

Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx will be tacking on the role of James Lynch in the upcoming screen adaptation of IO Interactive’s Kane & Lynch. According to Shacknews, the casting tidbit was revealed on Twitter by Kyle Ward, the film’s screenwriter, in a post that said simply, “Done deal … Jamie Foxx is in.” Bruce Willis is playing the part of Adam “Kane” Marcus in the movie.

Foxx may not have been the most obvious casting choice, but he’ll likely get the attention of moviegoers who might not otherwise be interested in the movie. What do you think? Does it make sense to expand casting for the movie beyond lookalikes? Do you think Kane & Lynch’s story lends itself to a film in the first place?

Columbia Pictures has brought online the teaser trailer for Adam McKay's action comedy The Other Guys, starring Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, Steve Coogan, Ray Stevenson, Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson.

Opening on August 6, The Other Guys follows Detective Allen Gamble (Ferrell), a forensic accountant who's more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg), who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an embarrassing public incident with his quick trigger finger. Allen and Terry idolize the city's top cops, Danson and Manzetti (Johnson and Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don't quite go as planned.
